Drawings from Starbuck's

So I went to Starbuck's earlier today, which is my favorite place to go just to work on sketching, and worked for four hours straight.  I spent so long looking at my paper, that my eyes got tired and I couldn't even see straight for awhile!  I have two completed graphite drawings to show, and a couple works-in-progress that I'll display once they're finished.
Lady at the Coffee Shop
When I first sat down I noticed a very pretty lady working on her laptop, so I decided to draw her.  It was a little difficult because she kept moving her head and I had to keep adjusting the angle of the face, but it turned out very well with a very good likeness.  She minded her own business and didn't seem to notice me at all.
Mister Giggles
Once I finished my drawing of the woman (I finished a few minutes after she left), I immediately began drawing this guy.  I had originally intended for him to be more dinosaur-like, but I am very happy with ow this one turned out.  Just everything about this guy reeks of nefarious mischief: from the pointy ears and horns, to the jewelry, shark tooth grin and slug-like protrusions from the back of his head.  This really is a work of demented beauty - and the jingle bells hanging down from his right horn just add to the mischief.

Stay tuned for more drawings that will blow your mind (and a few full-color illustrations as well!)
Until next time
-Dan-
